Our mission is the TNR(trap, neuter, return), RESCUE, and REHAB of Newark’s street cats in need. We provide training and assistance with TNR and colony management.

Advocacy
We work tirelessly to TNR(trap, neuter, return) feral cats in the Newark area. Community outreach and education goes a long way. trapping and colony management classes are offered to groups or on a one on one setting. Contact us for more information.
Rehabilitation
Street Cats to Sweet Cats works tirelessly to improve the lives of the street cats of Newark, NJ through the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) of feral cats. We rehabilitate semi-feral cats and friendly cats from the street, through socializing, vetting and training. Every cat that comes into our care is fully vetted and evaluated before being returned to its colony or being put up for adoption.

TNR(Trap-Neuter-Return and Colony Management
Trap-Neuter-Return is the humane and effective approach for stray and feral cats.
Trap-Neuter-Return is successfully practiced in hundreds of communities and in every landscape and setting. It is exactly what it sounds like: Cats are humanely trapped and taken to a veterinarian to be neutered and vaccinated. After recovery, the cats are returned to their home—their colony—outdoors. Kittens and cats who are friendly and socialized to people may be adopted into homes.

Colony Management is more than just feeding,. it is follow up vet care, providing shelters, and continuing to TNR new cats that may show up.

Street Cats to Sweet Cats is all about making a difference, day after day, 365 days a year. Since 2015, our Rescue Organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of feral cats in Newark, NJ. We believe that it is every persons responsibility to take care of the creatures around us, big or small. There are so many ways to help, so find yours today.
Make a Donation
Every Bit Counts
We take care of many of our own colonies, doing TNR and feeding and maintaining more than 40 cats daily. We can always use donations of food for the street cats! Donations are also needed for medical bills for both getting cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated, but also getting friendly cats ready for adoption.
